Finances

Tuition and registration costs are announced in January for the coming school year. Arrangements may be made to make tuition and bus payments monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually through the FACTS tuition management program.  Uniform costs vary (approx $200) according to each student’s order. There is a minimal annual fundraising fee (approx $350) expected of each family. There is a Technology Fee of $350. The annual Book Fee which includes the cost for insurance, newspaper, literary magazine, Days of Recollection, new books, workbooks and gym locks is approximately $350. No other mandatory fees are charged.

Tuition for 2019-2020 is $14,900.  There is a one time registration fee of $350. Busing for 2019-2020 costs from $4,000 to $4,500. Many towns reimburse parents $1,000 for busing. Parents who have more than one daughter at Mother Seton Regional get a $1,000 tuition deduction for each daughter after the first. Daughters of alumnae receive a $500 scholarship. Daughters of full-time teachers in our sending Catholic elementary schools receive an annual deduction of $500 in the tuition costs for Mother Seton Regional High School. In all cases, students must qualify for admission and must maintain satisfactory academic, behavioral and leadership requirements.  There is an international student fee of $4,000.

Mother Seton Regional High School offers Financial Assistance to students through 4 ways:

Academic Scholarships

Each year several academic scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen. They are granted on the basis of the results of a competitive examination given at Mother Seton Regional High School. We award the following scholarships:

  • Regina Martin Memorial Scholarship
  • Irene Margaret Memorial Scholarship  
  • Seton Caritas Scholarship
  • The Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Academic Scholarship

To receive an Academic Scholarship, a student must take our scholarship exam.  The scholarship exam is administered on Saturday, November 23rd, from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

Character and Leadership Scholarship

Seton GOLD Scholarships are offered to students who demonstrate the characteristics that mirror the traditions of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton.  These awards are based on one or more of the following:

  • Outstanding Character
  • Leadership
  • Talents
  • Fine and Performing Arts
  • Service

Financial Aid through Mother Seton and the FACTS portal

Mother Seton Regional High School offers Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) to students and their families. In order to apply for NBFA, a student must have completed the Mother Seton Formal Application for admission.

 

Applicants who are applying for Need-Based Financial Assistance for the Class of 2024 for the 2020-2021 school year must complete their NBFA applications through FACTS by December 31st, 2019.

Financial Aid via SFIC

The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children invites families to apply for a partial-tuition scholarship.  Scholarship applications are processed through the SFIC website.  Scholarship applications for 2020-2021 school year will be available on-line only starting February 1st, 2020 at www.sficnj.org
