One semester course which allows students to explore what is formerly known as commercial art. Students will learn the fundamentals of visual communication through the use of images and words created both by hand and with the help of a computer. Projects focus on individual and corporate identity, advertisements and other printed material such as book jackets, posters and CD covers. Emphasis on precision and neatness. Career opportunities in the graphics and printing industries will also be discussed.
