Monday, Jan 27:

  1. Watch the following videos on Khan Academy and take notes in your notebook.
  2. Answer the following questions in your notebook:
    1. What are the two units we can use to describe the measure of an angle?
    2. How many degrees are in a circle?
    3. If an analog clock reads 3:00, what is the measure of the angle between the hour hand and the minute hand?  How do you know?  Talk to a neighbor and see if she agrees with your answer and explanation.
    4. What if the clock reads 5:00?  What is the measure of the angle?  What is a way to use the total number of degrees in a circle to figure this out?

 

Tuesday, Jan 28:

  1. Watch the following videos and take notes in your notebook.
  2. Answer the following questions in your notebook:
    1. What was the base number system that the Ancient Babylonians used?
    2. What is the base number system that we use?  What does it mean to use this base?
    3. One full revolution of the circle is how many degrees?  One full revolution of the circle is how many radians?
    4. Convert 60 degrees into radians.

 

Wednesday, Jan 29:

  1. Answer the following questions in your notebook:
    1. Write down the problems from Khan Academy’s Practice: Radians & degrees in your notebook and solve them.  You must do a minimum of 4 problems.
  2. Watch the following video and take notes in your notebook.
