Tomorrow, March 8th, is International Women’s Day. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality. To that same end, we will be participating in a one-day demonstration of economic solidarity entitled, “A Day Without A Woman”. Many women will take the day off from work to show how important a woman’s place is in this world. Obviously, being a school comprised of all women, we believe that the education of women must continue. However, we would like to show our solidarity in this event by WEARING RED.
You may come to school tomorrow wearing red and denim (with no rips, etc). Please be sure to follow dress-down code as usual.
